There’s no better place to elope than right here in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest! Everything from the way the air feels, to the views, to the serene sounds of the birds singing and the rivers flowing — it’s just the most magical experience.

This elopement was actually a vow renewal/couples adventure session. Alyssa + Jason were already married, but never had the opportunity to share their private vows with one another because their ceremony was a traditional Greek ceremony. So when they asked me if they could exchange vows together I was immediately in tears! OF COURSE I SAID YES. This adventure loving couple getting to read their vows with a mountain backdrop and nobody around but me, my cameras, and their pups… an actual dream session!

We started the evening off by meeting up in the parking lot of the Middle Fork Snoqualmie River trail. Alyssa is the sweetest, she brought me homemade banana bread and a bottle of wine as a treat! I gathered up all the details for their session while her and Jason got into their wedding attire. Alyssa’s dress was this gorgeous gown from Lulus (here it is in a similar style) and Jason was actually wearing a custom made suit he got while in Thailand!

As the sun started to set, we were gifted some gorgeous pockets of light along the trail. Alyssa and Jason made their way over to a beautifully lit picnic table where they pulled out their vow books and started writing out the promises that they would soon share with one another. It was the cutest moment.

Alyssa + Jason then ventured down the trail to the river where they were greeted with the most epic mountain backdrop! This was by far the most perfect setting for them to share this moment. I gave them their space so they could really focus on one another and captured their vow reading in complete awe. Watching them giggle, tear up, gaze into each other’s eyes — it was the exact reason why I do this. True, deep, meaningful love. I could see it. If you were there, you would literally be able to feel it. Such a special memory that I hope they get to cherish forever.

We spent the rest of the evening exploring the trails and found ourselves over at the historic Gateway Bridge that stretches over the Snoqualmie River. Alyssa, Jason, and their pups cozied up together and watched the sun set behind the mountains. It was truly the most perfect evening!
