Elaina and Dillon have the cutest little Hallmark love story. They started out as neighbors, and somewhere along the way, they went from casual hellos to falling for each other. I’ve been lucky enough to photograph them over the past few years, and let me tell you—these two always bring the fun. This maternity session at Cannon Beach? It was no exception.

We hit the coast at the perfect time. Cannon Beach gave us everything—the kind of sunset that makes you stop in your tracks and just say, “Wowwwwwwwww.” Between the glowing sand and the dreamy golden light, it was basically a photographer’s dream. And Elaina and Dillon? They showed up with their usual playful energy, cracking jokes and keeping things so easygoing.

Elaina was GLOWING—and not just because she’s rocking that hot mama vibe, the sunset was lighting her up like she was the star of the show. Dillon spent most of the session either making her laugh or holding her hand while they navigated the sand.

One of my favorite moments was when Dillon and Elaina were just laughing uncontrollably at some dirty jokes meanwhile we were taking the most stunning photos, you would never imagine the kinds of things these two were saying in this absolutely majestic setting… it was SO them! They were laughing so hard, and it’s moments like that that make me love what I do. It wasn’t posed or planned—just them being them. Even with a baby on the way, they haven’t lost that lightheartedness that makes them so fun to be around.

We wrapped up as the sun dipped low, painting the sky in all kinds of crazy colors. They walked along the sand hand in hand, the waves hitting the coast in the background. It was simple, it was sweet, and it was so them. Honestly, it was one of those sessions where everything just clicks, and you leave feeling grateful for clients who trust you to capture these moments.
